Congregational Preschool is a place where children can explore their world with the support and respect of skillful teachers who prepare educational activities that entice and motivate young learners.
Congregational Preschool offers a developmental program with opportunities for young children to participate in a variety of educational activities designed to challenge and increase their skills. Each child is encouraged to pursue individual interests and progress at his or her own rate. Congregational Preschool provides a child-directed, teacher-inspired educational environment where children grow and learn.
Congregational Preschool Mission
The mission of Congregational Preschool is to offer a high-quality developmental program, which promotes the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of young children. CPS acknowledges and nurtures the individuality of children and allows them to develop at their own rate and in their own way, in a safe, warm, and stimulating environment. This preschool is non-sectarian, and will not be used to teach the tenets of any religion.
Winter Weather Policy
In the case of inclement weather, CPS will follow the 4J school district. When 4J schools close because of inclement weather, CPS will do the same. If 4J schools are delayed two hours, CPS classes will not be held that day. If 4J schools are delayed one hour, CPS classes will be delayed for one hour also. These announcements are usually made before 6:30 am and can be found on the 4j website and on twitter @4Jweather.
Curious about the Construction?
Project Hospitality is a housing initiative of First Congregational Church. The two manufactured homes which are located on church property, will be owned and managed by St. Vincent de Paul.
The houses will be home for 1-2 years to families with children. The families will be engaged in SVdP’s Connections program to support their growth toward permanent housing.
We are thrilled that the homes are almost ready and look forward to welcoming our new neighbors! For more information, please see the FCC website for all the details.
